Not that he went anywhere, really. Just came back to the D/s "thing." The other day, he tied my hands up and made me get ready for bed whilst tied up. That was interesting. He was very impressed at my ability to prepare my toothbrush while tied up. When I was about to climb into bed (still tied up), he bent me over and had his way with me. It was fantastic.
Today, I went in to work for a few hours and Sir picked me up. He told me to take my seatbelt off, and when I asked why, he dropped the little silk bag with my ben wa ball in it into my lap. Put it in, he ordered. He had pulled into a parking garage, away from anyone who might be able to see, and I pulled my pants down in the front seat and slid it in. We stopped to get lunch from a drive through, and while we were waiting in line for our food, he turned to me and said "I want to fuck you and slap you later."
I'm intrigued. And horny. And wtf am I still doing on the computer??
Gotta go.

Weekend Ennui
Sir and I have been talking about getting me a new car for months. We finally went to the dealer today to see what kind of money we would be talking about and I test drove the car I like. Its pretty nice. We spent almost three hours at the place but decided to pass for now because they won't give us what we want for a trade-in on my car. We'd be better off selling it to someone else vs the dealership.
I came home yesterday in a great mood. Sir got me an audiobook to listen to in the car on the way home, and I was in a great mood anyway because I GOT PROMOTED yesterday. The new job is going to be a lot of stress and not a huge bump in pay, but I think its pretty good that I haven't hit my 6 months with them yet and I got promoted. Plus a raise is a raise. We went out to lunch today to celebrate after we hit the car dealer, which was nice. We have been trying to cut down on eating out so much, but this was a special occasion.
I'm a little worried about how Sir is going to take this though, in the long term. He's obviously happy and proud of me, but since he still hasn't heard back from either of his interviews, I'm not sure if his positivity will last. He feels like I don't really need him anymore, which I have told him is idiotic. I just really hope and wish that he gets a new job that makes him happy. And SOON.
In other news, Sir and I had some long overdue sexy time this morning. It was fabulous. And since we are roughly one month away from me going off my birth control pills, I feel like I really need a swift kick in the ass to get working on my health goals.
Off for a movie and a snuggle.
Always,
His Lady

Testing the Waters
It has been several weeks now since my last post, and things have certainly changed around here. I stopped pushing the Dom/sub thing, stopped pushing in general. Sir is having a hard time with my job--I think its hard for him to see me so much happier than I was at Helljob when things haven't changed for the better on his end. We fought. Almost every day.
During our last blow-up fight, about two weeks ago (I may have been PMSing), we figured some things out. Sir has gone on two interviews and hasn't heard back from them. He has put in several applications and hasn't heard back from any of them. His job is in sales, and due to many circumstances beyond his control, his sales are terrible. He is actually not as down as others in his company, but the fact remains that we view his job as a sinking ship. Understandably, this causes him immense stress.
My job is a huge step up from Helljob. I get as much vacation time starting out as Sir gets after being at his job for several years. I get paid holidays. I like what I am doing. I get phenomenal insurance, and we added Sir to be covered under my policy. It would be absolutely insane for me to quit. The downside of the job is that it changed my hours drastically. At Helljob, I was getting home early in the afternoon, with enough time to get changed, clean up the house, get things ready/started for dinner, and be waiting eagerly for Sir to come home. I was exhausted and miserable, but Helljob allowed Sir and I to live out a sort of "stay at home" life. My new job was requiring much longer hours, and I have a longer commute now as well. I wasn't getting home until 6:30 some nights, which is very late considering that our day begins rather early.
A couple weeks ago, I changed my work hours to regular Monday-Friday. The work day is shorter, I get home about an hour earlier than I used to. I have more time in the morning to do things around the house.
During our discussions, Sir and I realized that we need a certain amount of D/s because that is just who we are. Sir has certain expectations of me, like keeping the house cleaned up, making dinner, figuring out the menu for the week. My old hours were making these things difficult, especially compared to how things were at Helljob. Sir said that when I got my new job, I got everything and he lost everything. I got a job that made me happy, more money, great benefits, etc. He lost time with me, lost his "stay at home" wife.
From here out, I will be making a concerted effort to renew my submission. Based on our many discussions, here are a few things I will be working on:
1. I will not say the F word, unless I am using it as a request for Sir.
2. I will not be livid about traffic on my commute home.
3. I will use the treadmill each morning before work.
4. I will clean up the house (at least keep it semi-orderly) before I leave in the morning.
5. I will comport myself in a way that is pleasing to Sir.
I think Sir is coming out of his rut. Yesterday, he decided it would be fun to try to make me squirt, since I confessed that it had happened once before when I was playing with my vibrator. After a while, it became clear that it wasn't going to happen, and I was rather irritated because not only could I not squirt, I couldn't seem to finish at all. We had been using only my vibrator, and when I told Sir that I didn't think it was going to happen at all, he decided to just take me. Which he did. Rather violently. It was fantastic, and was the first non-halfhearted sex we had in a few weeks. Today, he had to work and texted me around noon to get my ben wa and put it in until further notice. Later, he called me and told me to go upstairs and tease myself (but NOT to finish). I'm also not allowed to wear underwear for the rest of the day.
I think this is a promising new start.

Shifting Dynamics
Since the New Year, Sir has been very relectant to initiate or participate in sexy time. Which makes me very sad. He is stressed at work, has been trying to find something else for months, and my work schedule has been keeping us apart far more than we are accustomed to. I'm actually thinking of asking to go back to my original schedule of Monday through Friday because it will give me the same amount of hours but they are spread out over an extra day. I would go in later (allowing more time for me to work out and shower before I go to work) and come home earlier (allowing more time to see Sir and get a decent dinner ready).
Sir and I have also pretty much unofficially "given up" on our Dom/sub arrangement for the moment. We naturally fall into that setup anyway, but I am wondering if I am putting too much thought and effort into it. I tend to overdo things and Sir has mentioned a few times that he feels like I am always pushing him to have sexy time. I think it is because I am actually happy at work and I'm making more money than at Helljob, so my general self-satisfaction is much higher than his right now. Our situation has been reversed over the years, where he wanted nothing but sex all the time, and I see now why he was so frustrated with me all the time.
For right now, I think we have unofficially suspended our formal D/s arrangement. This was a 4 day weekend and I didn't do any of the things in the contract Sir made me a few months ago. He didn't bring it up and I didn't realize I had forgotten it until Sunday. We think we have grown apart over the last few weeks, so we are going to work on getting back to normal. Who knows--maybe the D/s things will fall back into place.
I'm taking a break from the blog for right now. I love reading everyone else's blogs, so I'll go back to being a lurker for a while.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2014.

Welcome to 2014
Happy 2014!
I've decided to limit myself to 10 resolutions this year. Behold!
1. Use the treadmill every weekday (Mon-Fri).
2. Eat healthier. More fruits and veggies.
3. Enforce my late-day-lunch system at work.
4. Complete the first draft of my manuscript and polish it.
5. Try to get published.
6. Create and do a strength training routine after a few months of treadmilling.
7. Attempt to start a family with Sir.
8. Declutter. Everything.
9. Cook more often. Enjoy it.
10. Be kind to myself. I deserve it.
Sir has just heard my resolutions and says that 10 is a lot. I think they are all doable and more importantly, need to be done.
Cheers to a new year!

Merry Christmas!
Family drama out the wazoo at the Possession household. Nothing to do with Sir or myself, but infuriating on a level that I have not personally experienced. I've been sworn to secrecy, so no more details here. Not that family drama would be anyone's first concern if they connected this blog to me. Ha.
Apart from the drama, Christmas has been great so far this year. Sir got me way too much, but my favorite is the new bracelet he gave me. The latch on my old one broke a few months ago and fell off--I found it, but I haven't been wearing one because I didn't have another one.
So last night was my family Christmas and today is Sir's family. Driving, driving, and more driving--to see people he mostly just feels guilty to not see. He's afraid it will be a bad omen if he doesn't see them all on Christmas this year, since there was a death of one of the elderly family members earlier this year. I think its a waste of time and gas money to go see them because he will be miserable the whole time, but I will support him. We'll get to see his parents, at the very least. Sir's parents are very awesome--not sure what happened to the rest of his family.
Sir is recovering from a cold as well, so at least the family visit will be short. He hasn't been in a very frisky mood of late though, so that makes me sad.
Now that presents are done and we've got nothing to do for a few hours, the time has come to attempt to clean up the house and make up for not being home all week.
Merry Christmas, blogland!

A Fight
Sir and I had an epic screaming match Friday night when I got home. We don't usually fight. Ever. And Sir NEVER yells, especially at me.
I worked 52 hours over the past week. Normally, I work 40, and when I was working at Helljob, I averaged about 36. This week has put quite a strain on us because when I get home, I am too tired to cook and too tired to play. All of that came out with a vengeance on Friday when I was catching up on my emails and stuff--nothing that couldn't wait, but something I hadn't been able to do all day. We were catching up on our DVR and Sir asked me a question. I wasn't paying attention and didn't answer. Something else happened, and then we were screaming at each other. Full blown screaming match, no punches pulled.
And then I pretty much told Sir to go F himself and went up to bed, where I seethed and cried myself to sleep.
Saturday morning, I woke up to Sir's arms wrapped around me so tightly I couldn't breathe. I tried to move so that his elbows weren't poking me in the side, and he held me tighter, telling me that he didn't want to lose me and he thinks we just need more time together since we've barely seen each other at all this week. We started having a rational discussion about the problems and then we ended up making out and having our first make-up sex ever. It was fantastic, and then we had a day of just us until we had a friend over to go see a movie.
After the movie, we asked the friend over and talked about it a little with her, and she and her husband have the same problems when their work schedules don't line up.
So my goal this week (which shouldn't be as bad since I'm leaving early Christmas Eve and I'm off Christmas Day) is to not let my commute put me in a shitty mood and to not let my electronic devices distract me from Sir. We had time with friends yesterday and we're having another friend over tonight, so that will be a nice way to get out of the rut. We don't normally have friends over because they all live so far away.
